HATCH was conceived in 2011 by new mom and founder of twobirds Bridesmaid, Ariane Goldman, in response to a (hah!) expanding group of style-savvy expectant mothers who you'd never EVER see in any ordinary "maternity" section.
At a time when well-dressed women are investing in timeless clothing that can go the distance, there's just no reason to buy a dress or blouse half-heartedly you will only wear for nine months. And so, HATCH was hatched as a finely edited collection of chic and flattering wardrobe essentials cool and busy women can truly wear before, during, and after pregnancy. Ariane Goldman is the founder and creator of twobirds Bridesmaid, a company designed to provide women (finally!) with a bridesmaids dresses they can wear again after the wedding. In planning her own wedding in early 2007, Ariane created multi-functional dresses for her own bridesmaids, and Twobirds is the product of that belief—despite what the movies tell you!—that being a bridesmaid never has to mean forgoing style. Becoming a global phenomenon, Twobirds has been recognized everywhere from Oprah and the TODAY Show to Vogue, and has become the go-to dress collection among millennial brides and bridesmaids everywhere.
In early 2011, Ariane became pregnant and found the same frustration while looking for pieces to flatter and celebrate a growing belly that can be worn again and not disposable after 9 months. She couldn’t believe that little was really available for chic women like her who want to blossom and feel beautiful and invest in pieces to go from stage to stage. So she designed and created “HATCH” a collection of 14 key pieces for the pregnant woman. The 14 piece collection has key pieces for everyday casual to dressing up and going out for a special occasion. These pieces are designed to be ageless, timeless, and fit all sizes, shapes and builds. The silhouettes are smart, easy and designed to look stylish beyond the 9 months.
